FUMP & Un Peu Noir join forces to bring Berlin’s BB Deng of Ego Riot Records and Vivienne Wu (Taiwan)

Prepare to FUMP HARD! as we present BB Deng for her first exclusive hard techno set in Bangkok, BB Deng is known and respected in the Berlin and global underground scene for her uncompromising dark industrial and hard techno music. A DJ, producer and label founder she has played at many iconic clubs and events including Tresor, Burning Man, Love Parade and most recently Rave The Planet Parade 2024 to over 380,000 ravers and Taiwan’s Eden Hill Festival, powering dance-floors wherever she touches down with her signature mix of techno, acid and industrial bangers.

Joining BB Deng on the decks is Vivienne Wu who returns to Bangkok after her debut with FUMP at Decommune in May where she served up a fantastic mix of raw and hard groove techno, with some of her own productions released on German record label Drehmoment. Since then Vivienne has gone on to have a Beatport top 100 fresh techno release, while touring for shows with Eden Hill City Fest (Taiwan) and Warehouse Grave: Rave of The Dead in Cambodia. Currently based in Cambodia she has created the new event series Un Peu Noir, to bring the best in underground techno to her new home.

About BB Deng

Berlin based DJ BB Deng was born in Hong Kong and raised in Taiwan. She began her musical journey by playing in rock/electro punk bands as lead singer, keyboard & drum machine player, she first starts working as a resident
DJ in clubs in Taipei. Later, she moved to Beijing to study film and has by years developed to one of China’s lead female electronic music DJ. In Beijing, she opened her club “The Boat” and was the resident DJ at one of the most iconic Techno club “Lantern”. She has signed with China’s top booking agency “Modern Sky entertainment” and herself has organized countless music/ parties / festivals such as the first Chinese electronic music festival “INTRO”.
She is also a promoter between West and East.

Since 2015, BB started touring festivals and clubs worldwide, from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mongolia to Germany and the Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Croatia, Austria, Finland, Poland, America and Spain to name a few.

Same year, BB Deng signed with the British studio and DJ equipment manufacturer “Novation” as its first Taiwanese ambassador in China and began releasing tracks on various global labels including 2018/19 ADE samplers
(Amsterdam Dance event) Black Kat, Elektrotribe, KUUKOU, Sound of Berlin, Industrial Girls…etc. She is flexible to play from Techno, Industrial, EBM, Electro to House music. In Berlin, she played at Berlin clubs such as – Tresor, KitKat, Golden Gate, Ritter Butzke, festivals & parades such as ADE, Fusion, Burning man, Rave the planet (Love parade), Zug Der Liebe…just to name a few. She was interviewed by BBC to share her journey from Asia to Europe, her cover song of New Order has brought her to be interviewed by German iconic FAZEmag & Flux FM. BB Deng has called Berlin home since 2018 and remains active in the scene with the birth of her event/label Ego Riot in 2022.

About Vivienne Wu
Vivienne’s journey in the realm of music began amidst the vibrant rave and EDM scene that enveloped Canada in 1996. Growing up in Vancouver, she was captivated by the pulsating beats and infectious energy of electronic dance music
during that time. Afterwards, in 2004, she pursued her passion for design at the London Fashion College. Her love for creativity led her to Shanghai, where she immersed herself in the thriving nightclub and underground scene from 2006 to 2016. Working closely with an alcoholic beverage company gave her a unique perspective on the city’s non-stop clubbing and rave culture.

In 2018, Vivienne relocated to Taiwan, where her love of rave grew. Drawing on her profound connection with the EDM scene and her early musical training achieving Royal Conservatory GR8 piano, Vivienne decided to deepen her musical journey, specialising in techno. Her passion for techno beckoned her into the electronic music realm. She honed her DJing skills by playing at esteemed events and venues in Taipei, including W Woo Bar, Studio 9, Pipe Live Music, and other international music festivals such as S2O. She has since moved to Phnom Penh and sets to bring the sounds that electrified Taiwan to Cambodia.

Vivienne’s signature styles encompass Techno, Hard Techno, and Melodic Techno, characterised by dark, high tempo energy injected into all her sets. She’s becoming known for her in-your-face attitude in her sound, bringing this aggression and excitement to every performance. She draws inspiration from artists such as Richie Hawtin, Joris Voorn, Nina Kravitz, DJ Rush, Ki/Ki, SPFDJ, Anetha and Daria Kolosova and draws parallels from each artist. Fueled by her relentless dedication, she now fervently advocates for Music Festival Culture, Techno, and Shuffle Dance, aiming to immerse Taiwan and Cambodia in the vibrant sounds she holds dear.
